Clarins 調和身體護理油

從小我的體重就時常大上大落,引致我的大腿及”love handle” area有橙皮紋。我知道Clarins的身體護理產品不錯,所以決定去google一下什麼塑體/緊緻/減輕橙皮紋的產品比較好。

Clarins 的調和身體護理油的評風很好 - 它的網頁標明「含有100%純植物萃取,包括迷迭香、天竺葵和薄荷,可緊緻、調理與改善肌膚彈性,撫平妊娠紋的痕跡」。

我(在免稅店!)買了一瓶,兩個月以來每天使用,差不多已經用光了一瓶。

基本上,護理油很快被吸收,又沒有膩膩的感覺-香味不會在沖洗之後消失,而皮膚也滑了不少。唯一不好的地方就是使用方法教你用冷水沖洗,都快凍死我了,所以我沒理他們,還是用熱水洗。

我想,用了一陣子以後,皮膚的確是緊緻了一點,不過橙皮紋則沒有改善。由於我去了渡假,所以已經有兩星期沒有用,但是我再用時,皮膚感覺還是有變細嫩的。

所以我的感想大概就是,如果你想你的皮膚變嫩嫩的,那這個產品就對了-但緊緻和減退橙皮紋方面,我就沒那麼肯定了。我知道不少懷孕的媽媽都覺得它有用,或者這個護理油是要在橙皮紋出現之前使用的吧!

我的美容姐姐建議我使用抗紋身體乳霜,下次就試試看~!

Clarins Tonic Body Treatment Oil

All through my life I have had weight fluctuations - this has caused unwanted stretch marks on my thighs and on my "love handle" area. I know Clarins makes good body products, so decided to google around to see which body shaping/firming/stretch mark reducing product was the best. The Clarins Tonic Body Treatment Oil had good reviews - it promises on its website "100% pure plant extracts including Rosemary, Geranium and Mint — helps firm, tone and improve elasticity, smoothing the appearance of stretch marks". I purchased one bottle (Duty free!) and have used it every day for around 2 months, the bottle is nearly done now. The smell is quite soothing - almost like the aromatherapy oils. I use a small amount for each area of my body, and massage it in the way they recommend. Video to show how to do it: http://int.clarins.com/Tonic-Body-Treatment-Oil/C020101003,en,pd.html It is absorbed immediately by my skin and non greasy - after I rinse I still have the nice smell and my skin feels a lot smoother, the only thing I don't like is that you are supposed to rinse with "cool water" and that makes me cold so I just rinse off with warm water. I think over that time I noticed a little firmer, but no improvement on the stretch marks. I have stopped using it for 2 weeks (because I went on holiday) and definitely when I used it again it softened my skin. So my verdict is if you are looking for something that will make your skin soft this is the product - but not sure about the firming and stretch mark improving abilities of it. I have read that it has worked for a lot of pregnant moms - maybe you need to use it before you get stretch marks! My beautician has recommended the stretch mark control cream - next on my list to try.

Say goodbye to puffy eyes: eye-care exercise!

I had a very good high school principal back then. She was worried that we would become short-sighted from reading, so she made us do eye-care exercise after lunch every day. This eye-care exercise is based on Chinese medical theory of "acupuncture points" and emphasizes on massaging the acupuncture points around the eyes. It is assumed to help prevent/alleviate short-sightedness. We were told to do four different sets of eye-care exercises with very dramatic music (the kind of music that you hear when the Chinese gymnastics team are doing floor gymnastics in Olympics) alongside with very Beijing accent putonghua. Everyone in the school would close their eyes and keep massaging. Not a scene that you see everywhere! After graduation, of course I haven't kept up the practice (seriously! who would!?). But whenever I got puffy eyes, a 5min eye-care exercise would help greatly reduce puffiness. Details about how to do this eye-care exercise can be found in the video link below. The main difference between the eye-care exercise demonstrated and the one that I did in my high school was that, the fourth set of exercise is like combining the fourth and fifth part of the video - use your thumb to press your temple, then use your index finger to massage around your eye. Remember to look at something far & green when you are done. If you are living somewhere close to the woods, that would be perfect. And it's normal to feel a little drowsy. Hope this helps those would get puffy eyes easily. :)

擊退眼腫的另類方法:護眼操

當年,我有一位很好的中學校長,為怕同學過度用功學習,個個變成大近視,所以讓我們天天午飯後做護眼操。護眼操是按照中醫的穴位原理,為眼睛周邊的穴位按摩。據說可以防止/減輕近視。

想當年,每天做四式護眼操,聽著抑揚頓挫的音樂(典型的奧運體操中國隊類型的音樂),配合京片子普通話,全校一起閉上眼睛努力按啊按,場面很壯觀的說!

畢業以後,我當然沒有天天做護眼操(廣東話模式:邊有咁神心吖!),但是久不久在眼前喝太多水時,還是做個五分鐘護眼操便可以將眼腫減退不少。

詳細如何做護眼操,可以看下面的視頻。與我在中學所學的護眼操最大的不同,就是我們的第四式大概等於片段中的第四和第五式加起來--用拇指按著太陽穴,然後以食指在眼框畫圈。而第四式亦正是擊退眼腫時使用的招式。(其他的招式在眼睛疲累時也很有用喔~!)

做完之後記得要看看遠+綠的景物,如果你住在山邊就完美了。完成後會有一點點的睏。
